WHERE & WHEN DID I TRAIN?

In 2006, I trained at the world famous Delamar Academy of Makeup at Ealing Film Studios in London - the only school in the UK producing graduates who have won Baftas, Oscars, Emmys, Vogue makeup artist of the year, Italian academy awards and Indian academy awards.

EXPERIENCE:

Before graduating from the Delamar, I was lucky enough to be the only selected graduate to be chosen by an Oscar and BAFTA awarded makeup designer as her apprentice on the film 'Atonement' starring Keira Knightley.  Since those early beginnings, I have continued to freelance on a variety of Music Videos, Film, TV and Theatrical productions that include various English National Opera productions in London’s Coliseum, Covent Garden (see images on this page). Most recently, I have worked on HBO’s production of Philip Pullman’s ‘His Dark Materials’ and the BBC's hit drama 'Poldark'. In between projects, I enjoy freelancing as a bridal makeup artist and makeup teacher, either in one to one client consultations or to groups.

During my years as a freelance makeup artist, one of the biggest rewards I have experienced is being able to boost a woman’s self-confidence or to help a young girl’s self-esteem. To be able to pass on my extensive knowledge of skin care and makeup, whether in the context of a one to one lesson, working with a bride to ensure she looks her most beautiful on her wedding day, helping women overcome self-esteem issues or showing people how to camouflage small disfigurements by using the power of makeup, is a true gift.

Over the years of living and working abroad in a variety of countries, I have been lucky enough to be exposed to and experience different cultures. The variable concept of beauty and creativity the world over continues to inspire me and my work.
